Course Description:  This course is for data analysis by using SAS as an analysis tool.  It focuses on data manipulation and analysis skills, as well as SAS language and programming.   Covered areas include: accessing data from various sources or databases; manipulating data by SAS data steps; summarizing and analyzing data using SAS procedures; interpreting data and presenting result; and advanced data mining skills.  The important portion is the study of analytical cases.

Following the study of data manipulation and analysis programming skills, students are trained by these courses: Base SAS steps and procedures; SQL and relational database; SAS Macro; MS Excel and Graphics; and file system in commonly used operating systems.   In addition, the course also prepares students for SAS Certification Exams for Base and Advanced Programming of SAS 9.

Students will have to take a separate exam to be certificated.
